bootmod3 N55 ECU Tune for BMW F-Series Vehicles
bootmod3 is an advanced cloud-based ECU flash-tuning platform developed by ProTuning Freaks for BMW F-Series vehicles equipped with the N55 engine.
Supported vehicles include the BMW M135i, M235i, 335i, ActiveHybrid 3, 435i, 535i, 640i, 740i, X3 xDrive35i, X4 xDrive35i, X4 M40i, X5 xDrive35i, X6 xDrive35i and F87 M2.
The platform provides direct access to ECU flashing, ready-to-use OTS maps, CustomROM functionality, high-speed datalogging, diagnostics, map management and real-time vehicle monitoring through the bootmod3 web interface or mobile application for iOS and Android.
Once the required DME unlock has been completed, bootmod3 calibrates the factory engine control unit directly through the vehicle’s OBD port. Supported maps can be flashed in only a few minutes, allowing the vehicle to move between stock, Stage 1, Stage 2 and supported Stage 2+ calibrations.
One compatible bootmod3 OTS map is included with the licence. The appropriate calibration can be selected based on the vehicle’s wastegate type, fuel used, installed performance hardware and intended use. Additional OTS maps and professional custom tuning are also available through the bootmod3 platform.
CustomROM provides advanced functionality including AntiLag, four-map on-the-fly switching, Flex Fuel tuning, high-speed RAM-channel datalogging, an integrated Map Editor and an in-dash ethanol-content indicator.
A ZF8HP45 transmission flash is also included for supported vehicles equipped with the 8-speed automatic transmission.

Installation
A bootmod3 WiFi Adapter or compatible OBD ENET cable is required and sold separately.
Once the required DME unlock has been completed, bootmod3 is activated and flashed through the vehicle’s OBD port.
Stage 2 and Stage 2+ maps require the appropriate supporting hardware. Exact requirements depend on the vehicle, wastegate type, selected calibration and installed fuel system.

DME Unlock Requirements
Some BMW N55 vehicles require a Bench Unlock or OBD patch before bootmod3 can flash the factory DME.
Vehicles that have received a November 2019 or newer BMW software update may no longer support direct OBD flashing until the required Bench Unlock or OBD patch has been completed.
Vehicles serviced or purchased through a BMW dealership after November 2020 may also have received updated DME software, even when the vehicle itself was produced several years earlier.

Licence Delivery and Professional Installation
This product is a digital software licence. Your bootmod3 activation key will be sent electronically to the email address entered with your order.
The vehicle owner’s email address should be used for activation so the customer retains full access to their bootmod3 account, maps, datalogs and future adjustments.
