GENUINE CARBON FIBRE CONSTRUCTION
Selected products feature genuine 2x2 twill 3K carbon fibre for the visible woven finish rather than printed, wrapped or hydro-dipped carbon-look material. Forged carbon options may also be available for selected applications.
Construction can vary between full carbon fibre, carbon-skinned composite and reinforced lightweight designs. Exact materials, underside finish and internal frame construction are stated on each individual product page.
Carbon fibre products are handmade, so minor variations in weave alignment, surface finish or weight may occur. Professional inspection and test-fitting are recommended before painting, clear coating or final installation.
VENTED BONNETS AND ENGINE BAY COOLING
A vented carbon fibre bonnet can help create a more track-focused front end and may improve the escape of hot air from the engine compartment. Actual cooling performance depends on vent position, engine bay airflow, undertray design and whether the openings are fully functional.
Vehicles driven in heavy rain or washed using high-pressure equipment may require additional care, as open vents can allow water to enter the engine bay. Sensitive electrical components, filters and exposed intake systems should be considered before installation.
CHOOSING THE CORRECT BONNET
Before ordering an aftermarket carbon fibre bonnet, confirm the exact model, chassis code, production year and facelift specification. Standard, sport-package and full performance vehicles may use different wings, bumpers, headlights, hinges and bonnet latches.
Left-hand-drive and right-hand-drive vehicles may also have different washer equipment or under-bonnet components. Factory insulation, washer jets, badges, vents and locking hardware may need to be transferred from the original bonnet unless replacements are included.
INSTALLATION AND SAFETY
Carbon fibre bonnets should be professionally aligned to ensure correct panel gaps, latch engagement and clearance around the headlights, wings and front bumper. Depending on the design, bonnet pins or additional safety catches may be recommended for high-speed or track use.
