bootmod3 S55 ECU Tune for BMW M3, M4 and M2 Competition
bootmod3 is an advanced cloud-based ECU flash-tuning platform developed by ProTuning Freaks for BMW M vehicles equipped with the S55 engine.
Supported vehicles include the BMW F80 M3, F82 M4 Coupé, F83 M4 Convertible and F87 M2 Competition.
The platform provides direct access to ECU flashing, ready-to-use OTS maps, CustomROM functionality, high-speed datalogging, diagnostics, map management and real-time vehicle monitoring through the bootmod3 web interface or mobile application for iOS and Android.
Once any required DME unlock has been completed, bootmod3 calibrates the factory engine control unit directly through the vehicle’s OBD port. Supported maps can be flashed in only a few minutes, allowing the vehicle to move between stock, Stage 1, Stage 2 and supported Stage 2H calibrations.
One compatible bootmod3 OTS map is included with the licence. The appropriate calibration can be selected based on the fuel used, installed performance hardware and intended use of the vehicle. Additional OTS maps and professional custom tuning are also available through the bootmod3 platform.
CustomROM provides advanced functionality including AntiLag, four-map on-the-fly switching, Flex Fuel tuning, an integrated Map Editor, high-speed RAM-channel datalogging and an in-dash ethanol-content indicator.
A GTS or CS transmission flash is also included for supported vehicles equipped with the BMW dual-clutch transmission.

Performance figures are estimates compared with the factory calibration. Actual gains may vary depending on fuel quality, vehicle condition, factory power output, installed hardware, DME software and environmental conditions. Stage 2 and Stage 2H calibrations require the appropriate supporting hardware and vehicle configuration.

Installation
A bootmod3 WiFi Adapter or compatible OBD ENET cable is required and sold separately.
Once any required DME unlock has been completed, bootmod3 is activated and flashed through the vehicle’s OBD port.
Stage 2 and Stage 2H maps require the appropriate supporting hardware. Exact requirements depend on the selected calibration, fuel and installed performance components.

DME Unlock Requirements
Some BMW S55 vehicles require a Bench Unlock before bootmod3 can flash the factory DME.
S55 vehicles from 2019 onwards running March 2019 or newer DME software generally require a Bench Unlock before OBD flashing can be enabled.
Earlier vehicles may also become locked after receiving a later BMW manufacturer software update. Unlock requirements should therefore be confirmed using the VIN and installed DME software version.

Licence Delivery and Professional Installation
This product is a digital software licence. Your bootmod3 activation key will be sent electronically to the email address entered with your order.
The vehicle owner’s email address should be used for activation so the customer retains full access to their bootmod3 account, maps, datalogs and future adjustments.
