bootmod3 B48 / B46 ECU Tune for BMW F-Series and G-Series Vehicles
bootmod3 is an advanced cloud-based ECU flash-tuning platform developed by ProTuning Freaks for BMW F-Series and G-Series vehicles equipped with the B48 or B46 engine.
The platform provides direct access to ECU flashing, ready-to-use OTS maps, CustomROM functionality, high-speed datalogging, diagnostics, map management and real-time vehicle monitoring through the bootmod3 web interface or mobile application for iOS and Android.
Once the required DME unlock has been completed, bootmod3 calibrates the factory engine control unit directly through the vehicle’s OBD port. Supported maps can be flashed in only a few minutes, allowing the vehicle to move between stock, Stage 1 and Stage 2 calibrations.
One compatible bootmod3 OTS map is included with the licence. The appropriate calibration can be selected based on the vehicle model, fuel used, installed performance hardware and intended use. Additional OTS maps and professional custom tuning are also available through the bootmod3 platform.
CustomROM provides advanced functionality including AntiLag, four-map on-the-fly switching, Flex Fuel tuning, an integrated Map Editor, high-speed RAM-channel datalogging, an in-dash ethanol-content indicator and configurable transmission torque management.

Installation
A bootmod3 WiFi Adapter or compatible OBD ENET cable is required and sold separately.
Once the DME has been unlocked where required, bootmod3 is activated and flashed through the vehicle’s OBD port.
EURO TUNED can provide local installation, licence activation and initial OTS map setup in Ireland.

DME Unlock Requirements
Some BMW B48 and B46 vehicles may require an OBD patch, Bench Unlock or another supported DME unlock method before bootmod3 can flash the factory DME.
Vehicles running November 2019 or newer DME software may require an unlock or patch before OBD flashing. The exact unlock requirement depends on the DME production date and installed software version.
Most 2021+ vehicles require the DME to be unlocked before bootmod3 flashing. Earlier vehicles may also become locked after receiving a later manufacturer software update.

When a DME unlock is required, EURO TUNED can arrange the required unlock through our trusted specialists. The exact process will depend on your vehicle, DME and software version.
Once unlocked, EURO TUNED can complete the bootmod3 activation, software setup and installation of your selected OTS map.
Licence Delivery and Professional Installation
This product is a digital software licence. Your bootmod3 activation key will be sent electronically to the email address entered with your order.
The vehicle owner’s email address should be used for activation so the customer retains full access to their bootmod3 account, maps, datalogs and future adjustments.
